  • What could pull us apart?

    When you have a deep connection to your friend there is nothing that could pull you apart. The absence of that friend just draws you in closer. The disagreement with that friend just makes you more open and vulnerable. The understanding that you both share is outstanding and rich that not even the soles of your shoes can pull you apart. There is a beauty and understanding someone else and what makes them not themselves that is interesting. Learning their every move and what they will say can be your greatest achievement.   • It's Okay to Go Slow

    I want change to come now. I do not want to be stuck in this mindset forever and keep breaking my streak of healing. So why is healing so slow? Healing is not linear. Healing is not a straight line that you can hop on the next train and take it to future lifetime. It takes time. And unfortunately, if you are anything like me, you want it to come right now. Remember that healing takes its own course. It is okay to be fine one day and broken down the next. This is not a race. Time is illusionary. The world will continue moving whether or not you speed through it or do nothing at all. So why not sit down for a bit. Take time to acknowledge what is going on and what you are feeling, sit with it. Take time to analyze and feel what it is you want to heal. There is no rush, no one telling you to hurry up. It is just you and your journey. So why not take the path you are most comfortable with. People move at different speeds, therefore, never feel bad if you are moving "slower" than someone else because there is no such thing. You are merely moving. In the process of healing there is no fast or slow, no done and complete. You are ALWAYS healing. Sometimes healing is easier than other times, but you are constantly learning something new about yourself. Be patient with yourself. Be kind. And remember, you are important. We love you.   • Be Comfortable With Saying No

    You may hear people you know trying to pressure you into doing something you are uncomfortable with or just don't want to do; you must say "no". If they get upset by you saying "no" then you did all you can do. Never explain your reasoning because it only adds fuel to the fire and no matter how much they ask you "why" you must stand your ground and give them no reason. It seems difficult to not please a soul but we've done it and we are better than ever because we only do what we want. You are everything and much more with a voice.   • A Passion for Freedom

    There is nothing like a good ole day sipping your favorite tea. Remember that day when you were enjoying the fresh air and you decided that taking a walk was the best decision you've ever made. Hanging out with your friends and going on trips exercises your freedom even more so you planned for that trip. Now you're hungry for more and more. What will you do next?   • A Black and White Life

    Well you heard it here first, your life can not be in black and white. If it is, change it. What a black and white life means is that there is no promises. You wake up just to find that you are lost, you are in fear, and you are not happy. This only way to turn off this switch is to give your life meaning. I mean think about it. Television and movies promote decades of change. Think of the movie The Birds (1963) which is classified as a Thriller/Horror movie. I used to watch this so much as a kid only to realized that now in 2023 the movie streams on Netflix. I was watching it and I realized that although this movie is not in black and white you can see the flaws in the movie. Don't get me wrong, the movie has potential. Even though I watched it so many times it still scared me. There was a jump scare a little ways into the movie and the story line is phenomenal. I mean what if that were us running from birds. But, if you watch it and take a look at the car scenes and some of the actresses you can see that there is a lot of work to be done with graphics, acting, and quality of film. Now think about The Matrix (1999) which is Sci-fi/Action. If you have not watched the movie then take a look, you can find it on HBO Max. There is so much life to this production. There are effects, stunts, a soundtrack, and outstanding actresses that pull off this whole storyline. Think about those differences and compare them to your own life. Does your life/movie need effects, stunts, a soundtrack, and is it ready for production? Create a movie you would want to audition for. Create a movie that sends chills up others spines with excitement because honestly everyone is watching. So give it life.   • The Power of Momentum

    When you feel like the task is draining build some momentum. [Do it for 10 minutes. Take a break for 5 minutes. Come back and tackle it for 20 minutes. Take a break for 5 minutes. Now try 30 minutes with less of a break, maybe 3 minute break. Then try to do until you do not need any more breaks.] Life is so fast paced and sometimes we have to build that momentum to get up in the morning and handle the hard stuff. On the inside we just need to appreciate that we gave ourselves the space to take a break. Thank your body for putting up with whatever it was and congratulate yourself each time.   • "It's Taking Me Forever To Figure It Out"

    Stuck in a tough place. Afraid? Worried? Tired? Well no need to think about it today. If it needed you to worry today it would be that demanding task finally here, but it isn't. Worry later, when it comes. You will ruin every day by worrying about something not there yet. So afraid you can not sleep. Get some sleep and little by little you will notice that you can better handle it in smaller pieces. By the time it gets to you, you would've took care of it. Take a breathe and do all you can to handle your mental health so that you can take on those challenges. Either way we got you!
